We’re only 3 days out from Iron Rose’s release (Aug. 6th)!
If you want to post about Iron Rose (or just tell your friends!) on Tuesday the 6th to celebrate & spread the word about Iron Rose’s release, it would mean the world to me!
I honestly think I’m in shock.
Not only is Iron Rose finally coming out, but it has been hanging out in the Top Ten YA Fairytale New Releases list on Amazon!
I unfortunately don’t have access to preorder numbers, but I can tell you this: the only way Iron Rose could make it that high on such an enormous category is by people preordering it!
We’re doing it!!!

This has been 100% a grassroots effort. My publisher has only been putting out books for two years and—because of individual readers sharing, reviewing, and preordering Iron Rose—my debut is rolling with the Disney Hyperion books.
When I realized that, there may or may not have been several spontaneous dance parties. Guys, this is my dream coming true literally before my eyes!

Launch Week Events!
So much of my book launch has been virtual.
I pour a lot of time into Instagram & newsletters and while that has been 100% worthwhile, I am elated to be having an in-person launch party at Salt Lake’s very own King’s English Bookshop!
Other authors who have had signings at this bookshop include NYT Bestsellers: Alexandra Bracken, Brandon Sanderson, Shannon Hale…oh, and Michelle Obama (if you’ve heard of her 😂).
This barely scratches the surface of the incredible people who have partnered with The King’s English and I’m thrilled to get to join their ranks!
This is going to be so fun and, if you’re in the area, I hope you can join! I’ve been promised that there will be fancy cake 🍰 and I’m making rose lollipops with my writing group for it, which has already been a blast!
I’m so excited to celebrate this milestone with my community. It feels like a wedding—getting to party with people who have played important parts in my life from so many different stages💕
